Better benefits are worth putting your name behind

Your name goes on every introduction you make. When you connect someone in your network with a company, you're putting your reputation behind that conversation.

Send them to the right team and you look good for making the connection. Send them somewhere that wastes their time and you may hear about it at the next dinner.

That's why the introductions you make matter.

Your network is full of founders, operators, and people leaders building great companies. They deserve benefits that keep up with what they're building.

That's what the Ignition Ambassador Program is here to do. We want to give you something you can feel good about putting in front of the people you know.

You make the introduction. We take it from there.

And when that introduction becomes a qualified referral, you earn $1,000.

Most companies don't know what they're paying for

Ask founders how much their company spends on health insurance and most can answer in a heartbeat. Ask whether that number is fair and what it's based on, and the answer gets vague.

The renewal arrives every year with a higher number attached. Coverage looks about the same, and there's rarely a clear explanation for the increase. Leaders sign it anyway. Then the broker disappears until the next renewal.

For a company with 25 to 300 employees, benefits sit near the top of the expense list, right behind payroll, but get far less scrutiny. Founders will spend weeks negotiating contracts, then accept a benefits increase without knowing what drove it.

That changes when someone they already trust tells them it's worth an hour of their time. Cold outreach from a broker gets deleted. A trusted introduction gets a calendar invite.

And that person can be you.

What the Ignition Ambassador Program is

The Ignition Ambassador Program gives you a way to connect growing companies in your network with a better approach to employee benefits. When your introduction becomes a qualified referral, you earn $1,000.

Ambassadors make the introduction. Ignition reviews the company's current benefits, finds opportunities to save, and handles the rest of the process from there.

Ignition is an AI-native benefits brokerage built for growing companies, focused on lowering costs and giving employees a plan that keeps up as the business scales.

The ask is simple: make the introduction. You don't pitch, present, or need to know how a self-funded plan differs from a fully insured one. You point us toward someone who could use the help.

How the Ambassador Program works

01 — Join

Apply to become an Ignition Ambassador. Once you're in, we'll show you what a good referral looks like.

02 — Make an introduction

Know a founder, CFO, Head of People, or operator who could use a better benefits partner? Send them our way.

03 — We take it from there

We review their current benefits, find opportunities to save and improve their plan, and guide them through the process.

04 — Get rewarded

When your introduction becomes a qualified referral, you earn $1,000.

What counts as a qualified referral?

A referral qualifies once they've met with the Ignition team, we've confirmed they're a real prospect, and they've shared their employee census so we can put together an actual quote.

Who should you introduce?

You don't need to know benefits inside and out to spot a good introduction. Start with the conversations you're already having.

“Our renewal went up again.”

They accepted another increase but aren't sure what drove it.

“We're getting too big for our PEO.”

The bundled setup worked when they were smaller. It doesn't fit the company anymore.

“Our broker only calls us at renewal.”

They want more proactive advice and someone who understands the business.

“We're hiring fast.”

The benefits package that worked for a 30-person company isn't necessarily right for a 100-person one.

“I have no idea if we're getting a good deal.”

They know what they pay. They don't know whether they should be paying it.

Know someone saying these things?

You don't need to solve the problem. Just help them find someone who can.

Who can become an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are people whose recommendations carry weight with founders and operators. If someone in your network would take a meeting because you asked them to, this program is for you.

That could be a VC (Venture Capitalist) or investor, startup advisor, fractional CFO (Chief Financial Officer), fractional people leader, accountant, payroll consultant, founder, operator, recruiter, or startup community leader.

You must be based in the United States with legal work authorization and have a LinkedIn profile. We use your LinkedIn profile to review applications and understand your network.

Bring better benefits to your network

The people in your network already trust you to point them in the right direction. Sometimes that means making a connection you know could help.

If you know a growing company that's struggling with rising costs, outgrowing its current setup, or simply wondering whether its benefits could be better, Ignition can help them figure out what's possible.

That's what you're bringing.

FAQs

Do I have to sell anything?

No. Your role ends with the introduction. You don't need to pitch Ignition, explain benefits, or manage the conversation.

What if I don't know whether a company is a good fit?

You'll have help. Every Ambassador gets guidance on what a qualified referral looks like, and you can ask the Ignition team anytime you're unsure. You don't need to make the call yourself. Ignition runs discovery on the intro call and decides whether there's a real opportunity.

Can I introduce someone I already know at a company?

Absolutely. The best introductions usually start with an existing relationship and a reason to make the connection.

What happens after I make the introduction?

Ignition takes over. We'll speak with the company, understand their current benefits and goals, and determine whether we can help.

What is an employee census?

It's a list of a company's employees and their current coverage, which is what we need to build an accurate quote. It's standard for any benefits review, and we walk the company through putting it together. Nothing on your end.

How many companies can I refer?

As many as you'd like. There's no cap on referrals.

When do I earn the $1,000?

You earn $1,000 once your referral qualifies. That means they've met with the Ignition team, we've confirmed they're a real prospect, and they've shared their employee census.

You’re overpaying for benefits. We’ll prove it.
